Trust is the whole point of The Car Ship Guide. This page explains how our guides are researched, how we stay independent, and how we handle mistakes.
How our guides are researched
Every guide starts with hands-on research: requesting real quotes from brokers and carriers, reading the fine print in sample transport contracts, checking USDOT and FMCSA records, and comparing timelines and pricing across popular US routes. We also read carrier terms, insurance documents, and federal guidance so the advice reflects how shipping actually works, not just how it is advertised.
Independence: no paid placements
Companies cannot pay to be featured, reviewed, or ranked in our guides. We do not sell placement, accept payment for positive coverage, or let advertisers preview or approve content. If the site ever carries advertising or affiliate links in the future, they will be clearly labeled and kept separate from editorial recommendations.
Updates and corrections
Auto transport pricing, rules, and company practices change. We review guides periodically and update them when facts change. If you spot an error, email info@bestcarshipping.site: we investigate corrections promptly and fix verified mistakes. Significant corrections are noted on the page.
What we don’t do
We are not a broker or a carrier. We don’t book shipments, take deposits, or arrange transport. Our role is to help you understand the process so you can deal with transport companies confidently.
Reader input
Many guides are shaped by reader questions. If a topic is confusing or missing, tell us through the contact page: it may become the next guide.
